Quality Controller 12-Month Contract

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Quality Controller 12-Month Contract (Somerset West, Cape Town) – Market-Related Salary Production facility of a leading innovative engineering company is seeking a Quality Controller. Qualifications and Experience Requirements: - Matric / Grade 12 / Senior Certificate - IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification - PCB assembly soldering (SMT including fine pitch and 0402 and TH) experience - A minimum of 2 years’ experience in PCB assembly related quality control Key outcomes of the role: - To take ownership of and responsibility for all PCB and PCB assembly quality control related matters including (but not limited to) performing incoming inspections and in-process inspections. - Ensure bare PCBs and PCB assemblies received conform to IPC-A-600 and IPC-A-610 class 3 requirements, work/assembly instructions and specific customer/company requirements - Ensure defects identified are documented and addressed with the sub-contractor - To continuously collaborate with quality assurance, inventory control and technical staff to analyse and improve quality control systems and processes. Required knowledge and skills: - Proficient computer skills including the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) - Able to read technical drawings - Able to remain focussed and attentive whilst performing repetitive inspection tasks on complex and densely populated PCB assemblies - Exceptional attention to detail to find even the slightest non-conformances This role is for a 12-month Contract; the company offers a competitive market-related salary including various company perks.
