Quality Manager

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Quality Manager for a Permanent position based in East London, Eastern Cape.

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Matric + National Diploma Mech Eng and experience with FMEA, MSA, PPAP, APQP, Control Plan Advanced EMS, ISO 45001, in depth knowledge of QS 9000, ISO 9001: 2000
• Auditor qualification – ATF, VDA
• 10 years plastic injection manufacturing moulding experience in automotive components
• 5 years project management experience

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Maintain the Quality and Safety Management Systems in accordance with SABS ISO 9001, IATF16949, ISO 14001 , ISO 45001 and VDA 6
• Ensure that customer specific requirements are implemented and maintained
• Ensure that Quality, Safety, Health and Environment requirements are met at all stages
• Technical analysis of customer returns
• Conduct root cause analysis
• Monitor and report on a weekly and monthly basis
• Problem solving and risk analysis
• Control quality policies, procedures, systems and standards in the plant
• Supervise quality personnel and ensure training needs
• Prevention of internal/external failures
• Conduct regular Product, process and Dock audits
• Control the receiving inspection
• Hands-on management of IBMS (Integrated Business Management System.)
• Evaluate the performance of the Quality Team
• Working knowledge of Process Improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Business Process

Salary:  R51 000.00 pm negotiable
