Quality Manager

POSITION INFO:

• Develop & manage the required quality systems for the plant
• Ensure the functional and data integrity of the various quality systems and identify and resolve problems.
• Actively participate in new product development
• Engage with outsourced manufacturing units to provide feedback and manage customer complaints
• Effective management of quality incidents
• Audit compliance to the various quality systems by both the quality and production teams. (GMP, HACCP, Food Safety)
• Drive continuous improvement projects to prevent incidents
• Test and review the adequacy of the internal traceability system
• Manage and review external audit corrective action plans including the design of new procedures and templates
• Audit compliance to the various quality systems by both the quality and production teams.
• Checking and verifying that team members are carrying out quality checks and analyses and recording the information on the appropriate systems.
• Verifies that the quality systems are working properly, and that data integrity and information accuracy is being maintained.
• Responsible for ensuring that laboratory equipment is operating optimally and to identify problems or opportunities timeously.
• Ensure implementation of the appropriate policies and legislation (such as OSH act) on safety and housekeeping. Ensure that safety and housekeeping receive appropriate focus through regular checks and audits.
• Assisting in creating finish product specifications on new products
• Co-ordinate Management Review meetings
