SUMMARY:
Quality Manager

POSITION INFO:

Develop & manage the required quality systems for the plant
Ensure the functional and data integrity of the various quality systems and identify and resolve problems.
Actively participate in new product development
Engage with outsourced manufacturing units to provide feedback and manage customer complaints
Effective management of quality incidents
Audit compliance to the various quality systems by both the quality and production teams. (GMP, HACCP, Food Safety)
Drive continuous improvement projects to prevent incidents
Test and review the adequacy of the internal traceability system
Manage and review external audit corrective action plans including the design of new procedures and templates
Audit compliance to the various quality systems by both the quality and production teams.
Checking and verifying that team members are carrying out quality checks and analyses and recording the information on the appropriate systems.
Verifies that the quality systems are working properly, and that data integrity and information accuracy is being maintained.
Responsible for ensuring that laboratory equipment is operating optimally and to identify problems or opportunities timeously.
Ensure implementation of the appropriate policies and legislation (such as OSH act) on safety and housekeeping. Ensure that safety and housekeeping receive appropriate focus through regular checks and audits.
Assisting in creating finish product specifications on new products
Co-ordinate Management Review meetings
