JOB SUMMARY:
Opportunity Available!! Our well known client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Quality Technician to join their dynamic team in Rosslyn.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description:

Proficient in set-up and operation of inspection Equipment.
Read and Understand Engineering drawings and the application of Geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
Use measurement techniques for component and checking fixtures
Use 3D software (viewing and rotation of axes)
CMM/3D machine measuring and programming
Read and Understand 2D and 3D data.
Read and understand inspection standards.
Ensure 5s tool application on working area and around the plant
Application of the 5Why methodology to solve function and department related problems
Adhere to all environmental policies and procedures of the employer
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures of the company

Job Requirements:

Engineering Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years’(1-2 years is sufficient) experience in CMM operation and software (preferably PC-DMIS & Polywork 3D machine)
Minimum of 5yrs experience in an automotive production environment
Understanding of engineering instructions and the ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
Computer Skills (Microsoft office suite)
Attention to detail
Good communications skills
Automotive background mandatory to understand the automotive standards and requirements
Knowledge in statistical control
Six Sigma knowledge would be an advantage
