Quality control manager

SUMMARY:
An industry leader in the manufacturing sector which is based in the North West Province and within the Potchefstroom area, is recruiting for an experienced and skilled Quality Control Manager

POSITION INFO:
Experience

• The successful incumbent must possess at least five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience as a quality control manager within the manufacturing industry.
• Experience with CNC machines and CAD drawings will be highly advantageous.

• N6 mathematics
• A qualification in metrology or similar NQF level (NCS metrology)
• Matric or equivalent NQF level
• Qualification in NDT examination
• Advanced experience with measurement and instruments
• Valid driver’s licence, code 14 will be advantageous
• Experience with Surface texture analysis

• Gaining an understanding of the client’s needs and requirements and communicating them and the quality standards to the production teams.
• Devising ways to improve the manufacturing process to ensure higher quality goods
• Devising, improving and reviewing new specifications and procedures for products or processes and training staff accordingly
• Supervising inspectors, technicians, assistants and other staff members and providing guidance
• Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and with health and safety guidelines
• Inspecting the final product, comparing it to the requirements and approving or rejecting said products
• Keeping accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis
• Gaining feedback from clients, attending meetings, submitting reports
• Assisting external auditors and inspectors
• Scrutinize drawings and documentation related to orders
• Ensuring that all faults are communicated and resolved by the production team
• Ensuring calibration of all gauges
