POSITION INFO:

The QUANTITATIVE ANALYST will undertake quantitative models and provide information and investment ideas to the Quantitative Specialist and other Investment Teams.

Key activities:

Manage systems to ensure asset allocation decisions to optimize for financial and developmental returns.
Support Quantitative Specialist through research to ensure sector investment models are optimised.
Improve quantitative models
Implementation of models to measure the impact of the investable ideas generated by the division
Data mining, scrubbing, cleaning, mapping and analysis using PowerBI, Python and R skills.
Research the latest model-building methodologies and ensure implementation within the business.
Assist in building the data science capabilities of the business. Data analytics to support business needs.
Ad-hoc analytics/data science projects as required by business.

This role will suit a Quant who has a thorough knowledge of capital markets and various asset classes. Someone who is able to apply their programming skills in different languages and who enjoys the mathematical and quantitative nature of the work backed by a statistical or mathematical degree.

Based in Pretoria, the role offers a hybrid working model and forms part of an innovative team who will also drive the firm's future in AI, machine learning and predictive analytics.
