Quantity Surveyor

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Centurion is currently seeking a "Quantity Surveyor" to join their team. Salary R50 000 - R70 000 p/m depending on experience.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Cost estimation: Reviewing architectural plans to estimate material and labour costs and prepare budgets.
• Budget management: Monitoring project costs, tracking expenses against the budget, and making adjustments as needed.
• Contract administration: Preparing, negotiating, and managing contracts with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Risk assessment: Identifying potential financial or construction risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
• Financial reporting: Preparing detailed progress reports and final accounts for clients and stakeholders.
• Liaison and communication: Acting as a link between clients, project managers, architects, and engineers.
• Procurement: Managing the tender process, including evaluating bids and awarding work to subcontractors.
