Quantity Surveyor - Residential (Mossel Bay)

SUMMARY:
Minimum Qualification:

• Diploma in QS/Building or BTech/BSc QS

• 3+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying or a similar role in the residential construction industry.

• Monitor project progress and costs, identifying and reporting any variances from the original estimate.
• Site measuring for progress valuations
• Prepare progress valuation documentation and invoices for completed work for approval by the head QS
• Review and manage variations to the project scope, ensuring cost implications are understood and approved.

• Understanding of construction materials, costs, and specifications.
• Analytical skills to estimate quantities and costs for construction projects.
• Knowledge of building regulations and industry standards.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
• Communication skills to liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Attention to detail in reviewing project plans and specifications.
• Negotiation skills to obtain competitive prices for materials and services.
• Proficient in cost estimating software (e.g., CCS QTO, WinQS).
