Employer Description Our client is a a mining house. Job Description Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a major platinum mining project currently in the execution phase in Sub-Saharan Africa. This role is responsible for the successful delivery of the Concentrator Plant, ensuring safe, on-time and within-budget execution from detailed engineering through construction, commissioning and operational handover. Work closely with the Project Office, Engineering Consultants, Construction Managers, Commissioning Team, Operations personnel, contractors, vendors and multidisciplinary engineering teams. The position shall be primarily based in Johannesburg, with frequent travel to the Project site in Sub-Saharan Africa to support engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational readiness activities. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Process, Electrical, Chemical or Mining Engineering. Project Management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) will be advantageous. Professional registration with ECSA or an equivalent professional body will be highly advantageous. Valid passport and ability to travel internationally. Skills Minimum 15 years of mining project experience. Minimum 5+ years in project management roles. Proven experience delivering large concentrator or mineral processing plant projects. Extensive EPCM project delivery experience. Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams. Strong construction, commissioning and operational readiness experience. Experience managing projects exceeding US$100 million will be advantageous. Platinum group metals (PGM) processing experience will be highly advantageous. Experience working in Africa and remote project environments will be advantageous. Benefits
