JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading stockist of fluid control products, requires and candidate who has recent experience in the fluid control industry to call on their branches nationwide.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / equivalent

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ recent experience in the Fluid Control industry
  • Extensive knowledge of Fluid Control products (Pipes, Fittings, Irrigation, Valves, Flanges etc.)
  • Computer literate: MS Excel / Syspro (not negotiable)
  • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
  • A stable work record and contactable reference
  • A valid driver’s license as a company car or car allowance will be provided
  • Able to work retail hours
  • Work under pressure in a pressurized environment
  • Able to pay attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong Managerial skills are required
  • Strong trading skills
  • Able to travel to different branches in various regions
  • Must be self-driven and motivated

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Merchandising and displays of products in assigned Fluid Control shops, thus ensuring all shops have the same or similar
• Responsibility for identifying, assessing, and implementing strategy and direction of Retail business for Fluid Control
• Responsible for all Retail Sales Reports as well as analysis of numbers and assistance with the assigned Branches.
• Responsible for all Fluid Control Products sold in the Retail Shop. This includes sourcing, stocking , pricing and discounts.
• Advertising of products (within and out of store).
• Approving suppliers of stock for Stewarts & Lloyds Fluid Control Retail with Focus Manager approval.
• Stock control including stock levels etc.
• Introduction of new products and ranges.
• Reviewing each Shop and regularly reporting on all aspects of the customers buying experience, i.e. parking , security ,loading , paper flow , deliveries, checking orders at shop & Main entrance, loading time, cashier service, counters sales service
• Promotions within the sales area and externally
• Review, analyse and report on Marketing Intelligence and pricing received
from branch manager
• Competitor activity, i.e. prices, specials, shop layouts, new developments, new products, as well as keeping focus managers informed.
• Responsible for Loyalty Programs, competitions, open days, this to promote Retail business within the group.
• Responsible (along with relevant Managers) , for overall Retail Sales Teams , i.e. quality, training, motivation, direction.

KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES
• Achievement of sales and GP budgets
• Overall growth of Retail on Fluid Control
• Initiative in new developments concerning products and Retail for Fluid Control.
