SUMMARY:
A defence company in Cape Town is seeking the services of an Engineering Manager for their RF department.

POSITION INFO:
We work on cutting-edge projects that drive advancements in wireless communication, radar systems, satellite technology, and more. We are looking for a talented and experienced RF Engineering Manager to lead our RF engineering team and take our projects to the next level. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of RF Engineers, overseeing their work in the design, development, testing, and deployment of RF systems and solutions. Provide strategic direction and technical expertise in the design and optimization of RF systems, including antennas, RF circuits, and wireless communication systems. Work closely with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, and systems engineering) to ensure seamless integration of RF components into larger systems. Ensure that all RF designs meet performance requirements, regulatory standards, and customer specifications. Oversee RF testing and analysis, providing guidance on troubleshooting and problem resolution. Develop and implement best practices for RF system design, testing, and production. Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful delivery of RF-related projects. Stay current on emerging RF technologies and industry trends, integrating new innovations into the team's work. Interface with customers, stakeholders, and senior management, presenting technical information and project updates. Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance team performance and product quality. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field. Experience in RF engineering. Strong background in RF design, testing, and optimization (including RF components, antennas, filters, etc.). Experience with RF simulation tools (e.g., CST, HFSS, ADS) and test equipment (e.g., network analyzers, spectrum analyzers). In-depth knowledge of wireless communication standards (e.g., 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, satellite systems). Proven ability to manage complex RF engineering projects from concept to delivery. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring engineers and driving team performance. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address challenging RF design and integration issues. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in S-band and X-band. Please send your CV to
