A dynamic retail design and manufacturing business based in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal, specialising in high-volume production within the non-apparel textile sector.
You will be responsible for managing the full procurement cycle from raising purchase orders to coordinating supplier deliveries, ensuring the uninterrupted supply of raw materials to meet production demands.

POSITION INFO:
Key responsibilities Raise and manage purchase orders for raw materials in line with production schedules and stock requirements. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to prevent shortages or excess stock. Maintain accurate procurement records and update ERP or stock management systems. Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure on-time material availability. Communicate daily with internal teams including Production, Warehouse, and Planning to align material supply with operational needs. Investigate and resolve delivery discrepancies, delays, and stock issues promptly. Maintain supplier contact information, lead times, and order history in the system. Follow internal procurement procedures and maintain compliance with quality and operational standards. Requirements Proven experience in a buying, purchasing, or procurement role within a fast-paced, high-volume environment (manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, or similar). Strong understanding of stock control principles and order planning. Proficiency in ERP or inventory management systems. Strong Microsoft Excel and general IT skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational ability. Desirable Experience in a manufacturing or production-based environment. Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) processes. Experience managing raw materials such as fabric, wood, metal, or consumables. Attributes Meticulous and methodical with a strong eye for detail. Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Dependable, proactive, and strong on time management. A collaborative team player with good interpersonal skills. Remuneration: R15 000 - R20 000 Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
