JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a leader in imports and exports, currently seeks an accurate and meticulous individual to join their growing division in the Boksburg warehouse.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:

Matric, plus further Logistics / Warehouse / Supply Chain qualification will be advantageous.
Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in a Warehousing environment

The Job:

Check, verify and tally the correctness of cargo against invoice documents.
Verify and check goods from customers.
Reconcile stock counts.
Maintain all the shipping records and keep files and papers organised.
Organise and work in a timely manner.
Count cargo received and dispatched and check product specification for accuracy.
Count goods and match them with shipping invoices.
Pack orders to ensure the accuracy of incoming and outgoing cargo.
Record weights, measurements and dimensions of cargo.
Check and calculate damages.
Take pictures of container number and seal number before opening container.
Take pictures of cargo before loading.
Take pictures of container before and after loading.
Ensure that stacking and palletising is done properly to avoid cargo falling over.
Fumigate cargo before closing container as per cargo requirements.
Adhere to health and safety standards in the execution of work.
Work in a confidential and sensitive manner in all aspects of work.
Encourage good relationships with immediate colleagues, other staff and external contacts.
Book container loaders properly.
Record all the conditions and discrepancies of the cargo.
Thoroughly check container numbers and cargo to be received and dispatched.

The Person:

Excellent communication skills.
Confident.
Initiative.
Must have an openness (engage in discussions, come forward, etc.).
Attention to detail and numerical aptitude.
Occasionally subject to irregular hours.
Must be able to work night shift.
Team player.
Results driven.
