Job Description:

As the Regional Business Line Manager your mission will be to develop and implement the Tools and Attachments market strategy to ensure that the company meets its business goals in terms of sales volume, market share and consolidated profitability for the Southern African region. To maximise the consolidated profitability and to optimise the market share of the company’s business by further strengthening the company’s market position.

To achieve the above you need to market the product lines below:

Top hammer drilling equipment (surface and underground).
DTH equipment.
Rotary drilling tools (bits and pipes).
Raise boring consumables.
Rock reinforcement products.

Position details:

Key responsibilities will include:

Maximise the output in terms of invoiced sales turnover and profit level.
Develop a territory management programme to ensure that we grow our share.
Plan objectives and strategies to achieve the required targets through your Sales team.
Manage, motivate and develop the Tools and Attachments team and observe the companies policy of equal opportunities in employment equity.
Contribute to brand strategy and identify solutions to potential issues.
Maintain communication across the management and sales teams in order to progress the business.
Develop a value package solutions to meet with and exceed customer expectations.
Undertake ad-hoc project work and perform related duties as required.

Required skills and capabilities

Has a good level of knowledge of the construction and mining industry.
A proven track record of increasing revenues and market share.
Solid technical knowledge of rock drilling products and their applications.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
Is able to build strong & effective working relationships with customers and colleagues.

Job Qualification & Experience:

Degree / HonsD, or 5+ years’ management experience in a similar role
Accountability (main performance evaluation factors for job)
The ability to work independently and be a self-starter
Fluent in English
