A leading company is seeking a Regional Category Lead to spearhead the strategic development and execution of category plans across Africa for a well-known international brand in the food and hospitality industry.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a supply chain leader with exceptional commercial acumen and the ability to influence across multiple markets. The successful candidate will shape a multi-year sourcing strategy that delivers growth, embeds ESG objectives, and drives supplier partnerships that secure long-term value.

Key responsibilities include:

Designing and executing a 3–5 year category strategy aligned with innovation, ESG, and risk mitigation goals
Leading regional sourcing efforts and owning strategic supplier relationships
Championing sustainability and aligning sourcing with the brand''s "Recipe for Good" strategy
Harmonising brand standards and driving consistency across the region
Collaborating with global teams to ensure alignment with wider business goals

Ideal candidate profile:

5+ years in senior supply chain or procurement roles, preferably in the food industry
Proven success in strategic category management on a regional or business unit scale
Strong analytical and cost modelling skills
Excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities
A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
