SUMMARY:

Regional Financial Manager (Operations Financial Manager) – Retail Group

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Administrators, Junior Administrators, Assistant RFM and roving staff, ensuring multiskilling and succession planning.
• Oversee the financial reporting function across multiple stores, including budgets, forecasts, reconciliations and monthly reviews.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and internal controls, identifying and driving process improvements.
• Play a key role in audits (internal, external and stock takes), ensuring policy adherence and corrective action.
• Manage day-to-day finance functions including cashbook, debtors, creditors, reconciliations, fixed assets and insurance claims.
• Partner with Store and Regional Managers to review performance, monitor expenses and drive operational efficiencies.
• Support store openings, HR-related activities (recruitment, performance management, training), and customer-related queries.

Requirements:

• Completed B.Com in Accounting / Finance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3–5 years’ operational retail finance experience.
• Strong staff management and leadership experience essential.
• Excellent problem-solving ability with a hands-on, practical approach.
• Proven ability to work across multiple sites and influence operational teams.
