Regional Head of Finance

SUMMARY:
Exciting opportunity in the Tyre / Mining industry for qualified and experienced CA(SA).

POSITION INFO:

Our financial recruitment desk currently has a vacancy for a Regional Head of Finance.  Our client has over 45 years’ experience in over 17 countries worldwide, providing top service in the tyre and mining industry.  Reporting to the VP of Southern Africa and with a dotted line to the VP of Finance based in Canada, the Head of Finance is responsible for providing support, advice, analysis and recommendations on the business performance.  This role provides a link between Southern Africa and the Canadian Accounting, Tax and Treasury departments and MTG Operations. Lead a significant accounting, IT, legal and BBBEE team and ensure the MTG team in the Southern Africa comply and adhere to the company’s accounting policies and best practices.     

Requirements:

• Post graduate degree in Finance CA(SA) registered
• Minimum 7 – 10 years accounting / finance experience with at least 5 years in a financial management role
• Mining or Tyre industry background
• Experience maintaining international financial standards and controls, preferably with a shared services model
• Experience with financial analysis and modelling which leads to improved business operations
• Experience with international tax
• Ability to travel across Southern Africa and to Canada (25%)
