POSITION INFO:
Job Summary The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining the company brand identity across all retail outlets within the assigned region. This role focuses on achieving sales targets, managing and developing staff, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring the effective execution of company strategies to maximise profitability and market presence. Key Performance Areas (KPAs) & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Operational Support Achieve sales targets by channel, store, and region, including representatives and full-time staff. Identify and drive regional business opportunities within the trade. Manage stores within the region to ensure profitability targets are met. Ensure appropriate structures and processes are in place to meet business objectives. Train, coach, and develop the sales team on an ongoing basis. Ensure all staff comply with company policies, procedures, and standards. Maintain accurate and up-to-date administration and reporting. Implement and execute Head Office objectives within the trade. Maintain strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail. Communicate regularly with Head Office regarding staffing and operational updates. Manage field representatives, including route planning, sales performance, and new business development. Plan and execute quarterly regional training initiatives. Control and manage company assets within the trade. Oversee and manage third-party agencies within the region. Ensure strict adherence to the Returns SOP at all times. Manage Service Centres within the region effectively. Resolve customer complaints and queries efficiently. Conduct regular store visits to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Hold regular sales meetings to align on targets and focus areas. Ensure all Health and Safety protocols are followed at all times. Manage HR-related matters within the team. Monitor and manage obsolete, deranged, and overstocked inventory by channel. Manage Regional Warehouse Oversee all day-to-day aspects of the regional warehouse. Ensure the smooth flow of warehouse operations. Manage effective route scheduling for deliveries. Maintain appropriate warehouse stock levels. Monitor deliveries to ensure retailer deadlines are met. Monitor returns, warehouse credits, and ensure credits are processed on time. Act as the Health and Safety Officer for the warehouse. Management of Distribution Partner Act as the primary liaison with the logistics company within the region. Ensure full and partial returns are processed within 48 hours of notification. Escalate operational concerns and collaborate with Branch Managers to resolve issues. Internal Stakeholder Management Provide Key Account Management (KAM) support across all channels. Monitor pricing to ensure competitiveness and consistency. Ensure efficient speed to market for all new product launches. Provide regular feedback and insights to the KAM team. Report on competitor activity and market trends. Submit promotional and campaign feedback within required deadlines. Salary: +- R750 000pa CTC Semd cv to
