Registered Nurse (Critical Care/ICU)

SUMMARY:
We are seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses (Critical Care/ICU Nurses) to join leading healthcare providers in Australia. This is a long term placement, with employer sponsorship available for suitable international candidates.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Current AHPRA registration or eligibility to register.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an ICU, critical care, or high-dependency unit.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (or equivalent). For internationally qualified nurses, qualifications will be assessed for equivalency to Australian standards.
• Advanced clinical assessment skills and experience in managing acutely ill patients.
• Proficiency in ventilator management, haemodynamic monitoring, and life support interventions.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure environments.
• English language proficiency as per AHPRA requirements (e.g., IELTS, OET, PTE Academic).
• Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing is highly desirable.
• Registered with SANC.
• Willing and able to relocate to Australia.

• Valid Passport.
• Degree/Diploma, including full transcript, with English as the primary language of instruction.
• Official document showing clinical hours completed during tertiary education.
• SANC certificate and proof of renewal.
• Proof of English proficiency, demonstrating English as the main language of instruction in high school, tertiary education, and at the current workplace.

• Provide comprehensive and specialised care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Perform continuous patient monitoring, including ventilator support, haemodynamic assessment, and early identification of clinical deterioration.
• Administer high-risk medications, IV therapies, and advanced life support in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Respond rapidly to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with intensivists, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Operate and maintain specialised medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
• Implement infection control measures and maintain strict adherence to ICU protocols.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families during critical illness and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and legally compliant patient records and documentation.
• Supervise and mentor junior nurses, enrolled nurses, and other healthcare staff within the ICU setting.
