JOB SUMMARY:

An established agrochemical manufacturer is seeking the above to support the Regulatory Manager in managing the regulatory documentation for submissions to South Africa, Botswana and Namibia Authorities for an entrusted product and to work closely with Marketing to coordinate the regulatory compliance process of all marketing material

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have a degree in Science or Agronomy
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Regulatory Affairs role in the agricultural industry will be required
Experience in establishing good stakeholder relationships with official bodies (governmental and non-governmental organizations) is important
Must have knowledge of the processes, methodology and various legislation linked to the regulatory environment in South Africa, Namibia and Botswana
Experience in using and maintaining regulatory databases and technical product development will be an advantage
Knowledge of biological stimulants and biological control products, would be ideal
Must have experience in registration concepts and procedures in the South African crop protection industry, according to Act 36 of 1947
Must have thorough knowledge of GHS
Ability to interact and engage with people of all levels and proficiency in English, including specific terminology required for preparation of registration data package are important
Must have MS Office working knowledge

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Supporting the Regulatory Manager to prepare and submit regulatory package or any supporting documents to achieve and maintain registrations according to plan.
Providing assistance on regulatory tasks, including but not limited to renewals, import permits, minor label amendments, minor formulation changes, source changes, updating of SDS.
Preparing and maintaining supporting documentation (e.g. SDS, apostilled certificates) for assigned products.
Managing regulatory databases and filing of registration documents and all relevant regulatory data according to internal systems and processes.
Supporting with site and sourcing applications and regulatory compliance of sites and sources.
Communicating and maintaining professional relationships with authorities and other stakeholders, if needed.
Contributing as a member of the regulatory team to the effective communication with technical support, marketing and sales, especially through active participation in various portfolio related meetings and occasionally in Campaign Teams.
Providing expert regulatory advice to Product Development teams.
Working closely with other teams to provide local regulatory support for non-crop chemical products.
Supporting Regulatory Manager to coordinate submission of Marketing material for regulatory approval before material is published.
Working closely with Marketing to ensure regulatory compliance of labels to support Marketing with promoting competitive positioning of company products.
