POSITION INFO:

A fast growing engineering firm specializing in renewable energy, construction, and Independent Power Producer (IPP) services seeks a dynamic Renewable Project Manager to drive solar and power infrastructure projects across South Africa and international markets. The company is committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in delivering cutting-edge energy solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

Degree/National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
8+ years’ experience in project management within the power/energy sector (solar, substations, transmission/distribution)
Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and professional registration (ECSA, SAIEE, SACPCMP) advantageous
Proficiency in MS Project, CAD software, and financial acumen (budget forecasting, P&L)
Fluent English (French highly advantageous for African projects)

Key focus areas include:

Managing a 1MW PV Solar Farm project (from conception to commissioning)
Leading multidisciplinary teams (engineers, contractors, stakeholders) and mentoring junior engineers
Conducting feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations for solar and grid projects
Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards (ISO/IEC/SANS/BS)
Identifying business opportunities in the power sector and supporting tender processes
