This is a senior technical finance role for a qualified CA(SA) who can move comfortably between IFRS interpretation, statutory reporting, tax governance, and leadership accountability. The Financial Reporting Manager is not here to maintain the status quo, but to strengthen controls, modernise reporting processes, and ensure the business remains compliant, resilient, and commercially informed.

Duties:

• Lead and manage the financial reporting function, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely financial outputs.
• Oversee monthly, interim, and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS, Group policies, and legislative requirements.
• Ensure the preparation and review of annual financial statements, statutory returns, and shareholder reporting.
• Formulate, maintain, and update company accounting policies aligned to IFRS and Group standards.
• Manage consolidations, cash flow reporting, forecasting, and dividend declaration reporting.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to the business and senior stakeholders.
• Oversee taxation compliance, including budgeting, forecasting, income tax packs, and statutory tax submissions.
• Manage payroll accounting requirements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, acting as the primary finance point of contact.
• Drive continuous improvement across financial systems, controls, policies, and processes, with a strong focus on technology-enabled efficiency.
• Manage B-BBEE quarterly vendor spend reporting in collaboration with procurement.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Uphold the highest ethical and governance standards across all financial activities.

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) – essential.
• Minimum 3 years post-articles experience with solid exposure to financial reporting and corporate taxation.
• Relevant Honours qualification in Finance or Commerce (advantageous).

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management or team leadership capacity.
• Proven experience in consolidations, interim reporting, and year-end financial reporting.
• Demonstrated experience working in complex, multi-entity or group environments.
• Track record of driving process improvement and operational efficiencies.
• Experience supporting audits and engaging with senior stakeholders.

• Advanced knowledge and application of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Strong consolidation and group reporting capability.
• Advanced systems knowledge, including HFM, HSF/OneStream, and SAP.
• High-level financial analysis skills with the ability to provide clear, practical recommendations.
• Strong leadership capability with experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Excellent attention to detail, judgement, and governance mindset.
• Ability to operate under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, with the confidence to advise senior leadership.
• Willingness to travel internationally if required.
