POSITION INFO:
A well-established organisation is seeking a Reporting Financial Manager to join its finance team based in Morningside. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong CA(SA) who enjoys working with complex financial data, driving reporting excellence, and leading a high-performing team. In this role, you'll take ownership of the management reporting function while overseeing a complex General Ledger environment. You'll play a key role in identifying discrepancies, improving reporting accuracy, strengthening financial controls, and mentoring team members to enhance the overall quality of financial reporting. This position is well suited to a finance professional who enjoys solving problems, driving continuous improvement, and empowering others to perform at their best. Key Responsibilities: Lead the management reporting function, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial information. Review General Ledger transactions and identify errors, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to drive high performance and accountability. Oversee month-end reporting, reconciliations, and management reporting deliverables. Strengthen financial controls and improve reporting accuracy across the finance function. Partner with internal stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insights that support business decision-making. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across reporting processes and finance operations. Job Experience and Skills Required: CA(SA) qualification is essential. 2-3 years' post-articles experience. Proven team leadership or people management experience. Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge. Demonstrated ability to review high-volume General Ledger activity, identify discrepancies, and resolve reporting issues. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
