Reporting Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client operating in the Technology Services industry is looking to appoint an experienced individual as a Reporting Manager within their Johannesburg North based Finance team. This Finance vacancy is ideal for candidates with extensive Financial Consolidations and Reporting experience within a Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) listed entity.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting and/or relevant equivalent
• Chartered Accountant CA(SA) designation and/or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) designation
• Minimum 3 years’ previous working experience involving a similar Financial Consolidations and Reporting position within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry
• Advanced IBM Cognos and Microsoft Excel software skills are required

 Job description & Skills:

• Providing accurate consolidations of the monthly, quarterly, and annual results with the Group
• Reviewing the balance sheet reconciliations as well as monitoring general reconciling items
• Ensuring compliance with relevant International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), and Management of Internal Controls (MICS) through preparation and review of monthly schedules
• Preparing the Annual Financial Statements for multinational subsidiaries and/or overseeing the management of the multinational subsidiaries
• Providing reconciliations between both Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and IBM Cognos (COGNOS) business intelligence and performance management software
• Reviewing each subsidiary within the Group to determine the respective and/or inter-company profitability including the inter-company equity and cash flow
• Providing the primary tax schedules while reviewing the secondary tax schedules for tax journals processed by the Tax Department
• Developing the excise project to ensure that the balance sheets and DA260 (other fermented beverages) tax returns are reconciled
• Overseeing the management and appropriate implementation of the information and/or data management system for accounting policies and procedures
• Facilitating the establishment and/or implementation of internal systems and controls for the integration of relevant Finance functions with all departments
• Providing open item management to ensure compliance with the Group policies and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls
• Managing the health of the balance sheet through monitoring of the aged items including the validity of transactions within the account
• Engaging with the relevant administrative staff and/or technical staff to optimise the efficiency of the Group

Assisting the company reporting specialists with the implementation of new reporting and/or planning applications

• Facilitating software support according to the client and/or internal reporting specialists’ requirements
• Providing data analysis and/or compiling financial reports to be presented to management
