JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the Banking and Financial Services space is looking for a Systems Inspector to provide supervision in the inspection and certification of reporting systems as well as the monitoring and reporting of all cross-border transactions.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Roles and responsibilities include and not limited to:

.

Lead the annual inspections planning process to ensure focus on high-risk areas.
Develop and train others on accepted inspection procedures.
Act as a team leader and coach, allocating work as well as coordinating and guiding delivery and the execution of inspections at the reporting entities to ensure that their systems and the reporting of cross border transactions comply with the currency and exchanges manuals.
Ensure that work is completed within established inspection best practice, processes, rules and regulations, ensuring compliance with standards, policies and other guidelines.
Propose and implement the refinement and continuous improvement of tools, methods and processes in area of functional expertise.
Proactively broaden knowledge and keep abreast of changes in technology, policies and regulations of functional area, holding self and others accountable to adherence thereof.
Provide input into the evaluation of team members’ performance and development needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, Information Technology, Auditing, or related
5 years experience performing general IT control reviews, IT security reviews and/or IT governance and data analysis, preferably in the financial sector environment
Knowledge of the reporting system operations manual
Knowledge of risk management and compliance practices and standards
Knowledge of and experience in exchange control legislation, governance, risk management and compliance
Knowledge of the COBIT and COSO frameworks
Business continuity planning knowledge and skill
Proficiency in verbal and written communication (including presentation and report-writing skills)

Added Advantage

Certified Information Systems Audit certification or an equivalent.
