Researcher (Legal & Policy) 1 Year Contract - PRICELESS SA

Main purpose of the job:

• To undertake and support health policy and legal research on diet-related NCD Prevention

Location:

• School of Public Health, Parktown, Johannesburg

Key performance areas:

• To provide research support for Priceless projects
• Experience with planning and working on grants
• Identify funding opportunities
• Assist with grant and report writing
• Conduct literature reviews, background research, weekly news, and publications round-up on developments related to NIH
• Participate in internal and external networks, workshops, and collaborative partnerships, representing PRICELESS
• Provide other research office support to the project leads

Required minimum education and training:

• LLB and Master's degree in Law

Required minimum work experience:

• 2 years of work experience (not sector-specific)

Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities:

• Experience in legal research, public health law, or related field is desirable but not required
• Track record in research and publications will be advantageous
• Demonstrated interest in public health and NCD research will be highly advantageous
