SPA MANAGER
KNYSNA (Garden Route) - Western Cape (South Africa)
START: A.S.A.P / 01 July 2025
REPORT TO: Director / HR Director
HOURS & SHIFTS:
- Hospitality Hours & Shifts standard including major holidays
- Flexibility is key
- Night Shifts when operationally required
SALARY & COMPANY BENEFITS:
- R25,000 - R35,000 per month (Based on relevant experience desired in this role)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Matric
- Hospitality related qualification (Tourism / Food & Beverage / Business Administration)
- Minimum 2 Years experience in Luxury Hospitality & Tourism sector
- Expertly groomed and highly presentable
- Familiar with all the duties and relevant procedures of Reservations in a Hotel / Cruise Ship
- Must be confident and skilled in OPERA - non neg.
- Excellent command of English (speak & write) - we deal with primarily international guests
- Organized, mature, confident and strong leadership qualities
- Be based in Knysna or willing to relocate (at own expense)
- Own car & valid driver license
- Experience leading a team in hospitality, travel, or tourism services
- A track record in setting and meeting sales or performance targets
SOFT SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- A confident team leader with a guest-first mindset and high service standards
- Comfortable balancing operational structure with daily team management
- Passionate about training and equipping your team to succeed
- Proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to manage pressure calmly and efficiently
- Able to do general currency conversions / understand the exchange rate
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
- Pro-active involvement and Management of the sales and reservations of all properties in our chain through all direct channels available.
- Stay up to date of present and future room occupancy rate
- Maintain a high level of destination knowledge and tourist information.
- Assist the revenue manager with reporting where applicable
- Opening Rooms on availability grid in order to accommodate reservations
- Compiling and maintaining of departmental SOPs.
- Financial knowledge - know which payments and bookings are outstanding before arrivals
- HR Duties including department recruitment, onboarding, induction & exit
- Meet deadlines
- Work towards set targets
