Reservations Manager

SUMMARY:
Private Game Reserve with Head Offices in Cape Town is looking for a Reservations Manager, responsible for handling enquiries and converting bookings for the reserve’s accommodation offerings, with the goal of meeting annual revenue targets.
 
The successful candidate will be highly organized and possess excellent communication abilities with a passion for customer service.
 

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

Managing the reservations process from start to finish in line with the company’s booking terms and conditions and standard operating procedures
Ensuring that lodge accommodations and experiences are sold in a way that maximises revenue whilst exceeding guest expectations
Building relationships with tour operators and travel advisors by providing accurate, detailed information that serves their guests in a timely manner
Optimising conversion rates of enquiries into bookings
Being a professional, friendly, courteous and efficient first point of contact for guests who have booked at or are enquiring about booking
Developing bespoke itineraries for VIPs and themed trips
Overseeing dissemination of correct rates and booking terms and conditions on online platforms
Regular reporting on sales, income due, new business, enquiries and booking releases
General office and administrative duties related to the smooth running of the reservations office

Requirements:

Grade 12 & a formal Hotel / Hospitality or Revenue Management Degree or Diploma
At least 5 years’ experience as a Reservations Manager within a high-end safari or luxury hospitality property.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with Hospitality software
Excellent written and verbal English
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to work in a remote, lodge-based setting
Additional customer service experience advantageous
Microsoft Excel proficiency advantageous
