Are you an experienced civil engineering professional looking to be part of impactful infrastructure projects? A leading consulting engineering firm is seeking a Resident Engineer to join their site-based team in Gauteng for a 16-month contract. This role will focus on water and sewer pipeline projects, offering hands-on involvement and real-time project delivery experience.

? What You'll Be Doing:

• Oversee site-based construction monitoring of water and sanitation works.

• Ensure full compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

• Measure and verify quantities, check contractor statements, and prepare payment certificates.

• Liaise with contractors, the employer, and internal project teams.

• Attend site meetings, compile progress reports, and evaluate material testing and control.

• Manage as-built documentation and contribute to the project completion report.

• Ensure adherence to ISO9001:2015, internal project management protocols, and health & safety standards.

? What We’re Looking For:

• BSc/BEng/BTech/Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering.

• Registered with ECSA as a Candidate Engineer or Technologist.

• SACPCMP registration in Project/Construction Management (advantageous).

• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience as Resident Engineer on large-scale civil engineering projects (? R7.5 million each).

• Solid knowledge of materials, construction monitoring, specifications, and testing procedures.

• Highly organised, hands-on, and effective in managing multiple stakeholders.
