JOB DESCRIPTION:

Introduction

We are looking for a Digital Creative Manager/Art Director to who is inspired to deliver world-class digital advertising across all our brands.

Job description

The evolution of the digital creative CI in alignment with the company and other brands, whist delivering on their marketing, communication, and financial objectives.

To provide digital creative direction for all briefing processes and to ensure synergy and consistency through various media channels.

Ensure creative and content pieces are in line with the various needs and nuances of South African market aligned to the defined customer segmentation and campaign objectives

Actively participate in client meetings and presentations as representative of the company team and Creative team.

To manage and ensure timeous and accurate delivery from creative teams to meet business objectives.

Story board and execute short/long form film, Motion Graphic, and Animation campaigns from ideation, through to final delivery for all channels.

Regularly propose new digital creative templates for events, campaigns, and brands.

Conceptualise email stories based on product selection and events.

Coordinate and direct ad hoc product image photography, as and when required by the business.

Maintain and manage creative photography studio and equipment.

Ensure the creative studio (designers and copywriters) have the correct software to enable the delivery of creative execution through working with IT and external agencies.

To attend meetings with brands, initiate and manage creative brainstorming session and to ensure that the briefs are interpreted and presented in the most effective way to achieve the required results.

To proactively keep up with trends in digital advertising and to keep abreast with the industry standards to achieve a competitive advantage for the group.

Drive a high standard of execution and attention to detail in all aspects of visual design and ensure consistency at all times.

Develop creative and copy for AB testing and recommend best practices based on data driven decisions.

Gather insights and trend forecast, across design principles, and make available/ present to marketing and broader business to inform concepts and design ideation and implementation.

Manage external resources, venders, and agencies to meet business deliverables.

Act as a brand ambassador for the company always and to ensure the brand’s integrity and consistency is always maintained.

To drive a high standard of digital copy writing across all digital mediums.

Conceptualise copy for emails, ATL, BTL, and digital campaigns.

To build a high performing team through effective people management and development as to ensure that capability meets all current and future business objectives.

Creative an environment of creativity and innovation by prompting designers and copywriters to deliver higher levels of work.

Control expenses within allocated budget by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts.

Maintain a professional relationship with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure timely execution of campaigns at optimised costs.

Skills and Knowledge

· Experience in all aspect of digital communications and platforms

· Excellent Mac skills in all key design programmes

· Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator,

· Advanced knowledge in After Effects, Premier Pro (Short and long form editing)

· Advanced knowledge in motion graphics, Figma, and 3D software.

· Knowledge in audio editing is beneficial.

· Art direction and photography experience

· Deep knowledge and understanding of video production – from creative ideation through to post-production and final delivery

· Sound knowledge of pre- and post-production – animation (3D and 2D),

colour grading, sound editing etc

· Familiarity with social video production across Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Live, TikTok and 360

· Management of Multiple projects simultaneously

· Understanding data analysis, customer insights, and consumer behaviour.

Qualifications and experience

· Bachelor’s degree and Relevant digital qualification

· 8-10 years digital experience in handling corporate branding exercise in a large firm, preferably in a retail environment.

· Experience in working with large corporate brands and various Cis.

· 5 years people Management Competencies

· Mac proficient
