SUMMARY:
A leading client within the retail sector is seeking for an experienced and driven Retail Supervisor to join their team in Chatsworth, Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, managing staff performance, and ensuring smooth workflow within a high-volume retail environment. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills and proven experience supervising a large headcount, with the ability to manage, motivate and support a diverse team while maintaining operational standards.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage daily activities of retail staff to ensure operational efficiency. Allocate duties and monitor staff performance. Manage a large team and ensure employees adhere to company policies and procedures. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and staff development. Handle employee-related matters, including attendance, leave management and performance concerns. Liaise with HR regarding employee records and workplace matters. Monitor payroll-related information and ensure accurate submission of timesheets. Provide basic IT support and assist with system-related queries. Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained. Monitor stock processes, merchandising standards, and store compliance. Prepare reports and provide feedback to management. Ensure health and safety standards are followed within the workplace. Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field (essential) . Minimum 1-year supervisory experience , preferably within the retail sector. Proven experience managing and supervising a large number of employees . Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge and understanding of HR processes, payroll procedures, and basic IT systems . Ability to manage staff attendance, performance, and disciplinary processes. Must be able to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Strong organisational and administrative skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime when required.
