Revenue Accountant

POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for a Revenue Accountant to join their Revenue function within their Global Finance team. Some work exposure to the asset management industry is helpful but not essential. The successful candidate will form part of a global team responsible for the calculation and collection of both management and performance fees from a global client base. This job will involve a high degree of systems usage and ongoing development as our client continues to automate their processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Month end revenue accrual calculation and General Ledger (GL) postings
• Calculation, invoicing and collection of fees
• Fee reconciliations
• Audit and maintenance of fee calculations\methodologies
• Calculation of performance fees
• Automation of performance fees
• Budget and forecast processes
• Audit processes
• Dealing with routine queries/provision of information to internal and external clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification B. Com (Acc), B Bus Sci or equivalent.
• 2 – 3 years related experience
• Attention to detail and willing to get involved with all levels of accounting and reporting process
• Would benefit from having some experience in financial services or asset management

System Skills:

• The role will requires strong Excel and Microsoft skills
• Good IT systems aptitude, particularly financial systems
• Some experience with Qlikview, Revport, Oracle Fusion and Hyperion Essbase would be beneficial but not essential
