Job Title: Rigger

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Seniority Level: Mid Career (2 - 4 yrs exp)

Type: Contractor

Location: JHB - Eastern Suburbs

• Review the scope of work and production plan and direct and execute the placement of Lifting Machines and Rigging Equipment

• Estimating the size, shape and weight of objects to be moved, including recognising of centre of gravity

• Participate in the compilation of Rigging Studies and Risk Assessments

• Conduct pre-use inspections of all lifting machines and rigging equipment certificates

• Conduct continuous surveillance of the environment and load of Rigging Equipment

• Work independently in execution of lifting and rigging tasks

• Provide guidance on techniques, equipment uses, inspections, and good rigging practices and prerequisites for rigger training

• Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving

• Grade 12 with English, Maths/Science/Technical Drawings

• Rigging Trade Test (Red Seal)
