SUMMARY:
Risk & Security Manager

POSITION INFO:
The purpose of this role is to manage risk within the company''s operations division. The incumbent is responsible for controlling  and managing the stock loss in the warehouse and on fleet vehicles.  Manages the security on the premises such as alarms, the building, CCTV cameras and the onsite security.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a risk management strategy and plan in the operations division for all branches nationally. Review and improve processes to ensure risk prevention and risk mitigation. Implement new technologies to mitigate risk. Implement strategies and interventions to circumvent theft in the warehouse. Implement interventions and measures to prevent theft and hijacking.  Keep abreast of latest criminal strategies and develop strategies internally to combat theft. 

Operations:
Conduct  regular inspections of areas of responsibility and ensure corrective actions are identified and implemented to mitigate stock loss. Investigate and determine root cause of incidents and implement corrective measures to mitigate loss. Conduct and review regular inspections  and ensure corrective actions are implemented to prevent risk. Test reaction units regularly and ensure that all equipment and vehicles are in good working order. Maintain all security equipment and fleet vehicles in good working order. Perform tests on reaction units regularly for reaction time. Plan drivers'' routes  to ensure that drivers are routed with minimal stops within shortest distances, mitigating hijackings.  Open and follow up on criminal cases and see them  through from start to finish, cooperate with and ensure constant and effective communication with all relevant stakeholders and the SAPS on investigations.  Complete all administrative processes in relation to theft, hijacking and accidents.  Check online auction sites to track stolen goods.  Implement proper health and safety standards in your area of responsibility in line with occupational and safety (OHS) standards and applicable laws.    

Risk Assessment: 
Perform risk assessment, identify potential risks and implement measures to circumvent the risk. Report all risk and prioritise risk according to severity. Monitor and control processes through implementation of SOP''s on the analysis of reports. Perform regular quality checks.

Budget Management:
Manage the risk budget and ensure reduction of costs of all resources, approve expenditure within authorisation limits of delegation. Prepare and manage the operational and capital budgets.

Reporting:
Conduct reporting on all security and risk activities. Report on all health and safety matters in areas of responsibility. Investigate and report the root cause of incidents, produce monthly sustainable performance indicators that covers all losses and incidents. Produce financial loss reports related to the risk/loss cost.
