Risk Assurance Co-ordinator

As international Mining Company in Johannesburg has a contract vacancy for a Risk Assurance Co-ordinator

The Risk Assurance Coordinator requires a passion for organisational technology, automation, IT risk management and security along with a desire to champion best practices in a dynamic and complex environment. The position will provide leadership in IT governance and IT risk management across the Regional Support (EMEA) functions within Anglo American’s Global IM. This contracting role requires the individual to be a self-starter, proactive and able to apply attention to detail.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Proven working experience in project management,
• Good Working knowledge of Control Objectives for Information Technologies (COBIT)
• Knowledge of the IT Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• 3-5 years working experience in business
• Preferable BSc Computer Science, BSc Information Technology or an undergraduate qualification in a relevant IT Discipline
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of digitisation in the workplace
• Familiarity with mining or industrial concepts, practices, and procedures
• Ability to work under pressure
• The Risk Assurance Coordinator is expected to do the following

• Conduct Risk Management Workshops
• Coordination of all risk mitigation actions
• Review and Audit internal Operating Model procedures
• Manage and monitor risk related initiatives
• Scheduling IM Risk related actions
• Ensure quality of all documents and processes in the Governance team
• Support and coordinate the IM Specialists with risk related tasks and manage the work execution
• Support the Governance Team to implement the risk action plans to close out findings as agreed with internal and external parties
• Monitor and report progress risk mitigations
• Support the relationship between Global IM, Cyber Security and Regional IM Governance
• Support strong adherence to the internal IM Governance management process
• Coordinate Cyber Security mitigations and actions
• Provide input to the various Risk and Audit Committee Reports from an Information Management perspective
• Keep track of all Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) violations across all business units in the region.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

• Experience of IT Infrastructure and Application environments
• Highly proficient and experienced in IT Risk Management principles, methods, techniques, and tools (strong in planning and scheduling)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office O365 suite
• Strong Work Package management experience
• Good Communication skills at all levels and well versed in English
• Experience of innovation initiatives and projects
• Document management skills
• Knowledge of IT governance and or assurance frameworks will be an added advantage
