Brief Description:

A leading consulting engineering company is seeking a Roads Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on a diverse range of road infrastructure projects, from concept and detailed design through to construction support, while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Design and develop road and transport infrastructure for a variety of projects Undertake preliminary, geometric and detailed road design Develop horizontal and vertical road alignments Design road drainage, stormwater systems and associated infrastructure Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, reports and tender documentation Perform engineering calculations and develop practical design solutions Coordinate designs with multidisciplinary engineering teams, consultants and contractors Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction Review technical drawings and documentation to ensure design quality and compliance Liaise with clients and relevant authorities throughout the project lifecycle Ensure designs comply with relevant SANS and municipal\/road authority standards Skills & Experience: Manage and deliver road design projects from concept through to detailed design Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians Coordinate project deliverables with internal and external stakeholders Identify and resolve technical design challenges Assist with tender preparation, procurement and construction documentation Maintain accurate project records and technical documentation Minimum 8+ years of experience Qualification: BEng\/BSc\/BTech in Civil Engineering or a related qualification Professional registration with ECSA Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
