JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Hotel in Camps Bay in the heart of Cape Town's beachside suburb. We are currently looking for a Rooms Division Manager for this eclectic property.

Requirements:

Diploma in Hospitality Management
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
Driver's license with own reliable transport
Strong Opera experience

Responsibilities:

Ensure that the aesthetics of the hotel is always favorable
Ensure rooms are serviced and maintained to the standards set forth by the company
Regular inspection of facilities and rooms for maintenance purposes
Stock control (Housekeeping)
Planning of new hotel projects in conjunction with the Chairman and Facilities manager.
Dealing with customer complaints
Be visible at all times
Responsible for IOD and guest incidents (documentation)
Ensure that all guests are greeted, checked in (and out) and allocated rooms promptly
Ensure strict procedures on check in/out are followed
Ensure maximum occupancy with agreed overbooking policy
Conducting on-the-job training
Submission of Payroll documentation
Ensure effective liaison between Reservations and Front Office departments e.g. Housekeeping, Maintenance and F&B
