SUMMARY:
A dynamic and growing Financial Services firm is looking to appoint a Group Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys working across the full finance function and taking ownership of reporting processes

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs
Full ledger to trial balance responsibility
Drafting of annual financial statements in line with applicable standards
Preparation and submission of VAT and tax returns
Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
Liaise with auditors and support year-end processes

Requirements:

Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
Experience with VAT and tax compliance
Ability to manage the full accounting cycle independently
High attention to detail with strong analytical skills

Advantageous:

Experience within Financial Services
Exposure to multi-entity environments
