SUMMARY:
Our client in Stikland Industrial is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join their dynamic team! We are looking for a professional with a BCom degree or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of post-article experience in accounting. Candidates must have completed their SAIPA articles with an accredited accounting firm. Bilingual proficiency in English and Afrikaans is essential. REQUIREMENTS:

BCom degree or equivalent
2+ years’ post article experience in accounting preferable
Must have completed SAIPA (South African Institute of Professional Accountants) articles with an accounting firm
Bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
Attention to detail
Meeting critical deadlines
Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strength and weaknesses of alternative solutions

DUTIES:

Asset management.
Stock management and control.
Assisting FM with management accounts, forecasts and budgets.
Assist the Financial Manager with analysis of business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, R&D project expenses and provide advice to lab managers.
Assist the Financial Manager to monitor record-keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology (automation).
Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards within the company.
Report to Financial Manager and MD regarding any anomaly in the finance department.
Ensuring that access to financial information is always restricted.
Delegate filing to the appropriate finance staff member to prevent it from accumulating, and to ensure effective filing management.
Managing the accounting of product development.

HOURS:

Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
