POSITION INFO:
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SAIPA Trainees who are ready to begin their journey toward qualifying as a Professional Accountant (SA). This is a full-time, 3-year training contract position registered with SAIPA.
As a SAIPA Trainee, you will receive hands-on experience in a range of accounting, tax, and business advisory functions while gaining the necessary competencies and practical experience required to qualify as a Professional Accountant.
Minimum Requirements:
- Completed BCom in Accounting (or equivalent SAIPA-recognized qualification)
- Must reside in Durban North
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn
- Good time management and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations
- Prepare working papers and assist in drafting financial statements
- File VAT, PAYE, and Income Tax returns
- Liaise with clients and SARS
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulations
- Support senior accountants and managers with various administrative and technical tasks
