POSITION INFO:
SALES AND ESTIMATING MANAGER / EAST LONDON - Our client is seeking a strategic and results-driven Manager to lead their sales team, manage estimating functions, and drive business growth. This pivotal role combines leadership, commercial insight, and hands-on involvement in costing and client acquisition. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end sales process, from generating leads and securing new contracts to accurate costing and pricing of projects.
Essential requirements;
Matric
Valid Code 08 Drivers license
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
Proven experience in a Sales and estimating (must be good with numbers)
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Good understanding of pricing and Tender preparation
Demonstrated success in generating and converting new business opportunities.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and commercial acumen
Experience within the Printing Industry advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to meet and exceed performance targets.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, tendering, and proactive outreach.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
Estimating & Costing:
Oversee and contribute to the preparation of detailed cost estimates, proposals, and quotations.
Ensure pricing strategies are competitive, profitable, and aligned with company objectives.
Review project specifications and tender documents to accurately determine labour, material, and time requirements.
Collaborate with operational teams to ensure accurate scope assessment and resource planning.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and risk factors in proposed works.
Provide regular reporting on sales pipeline, team performance, and forecasting.
Develop and monitor KPIs to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
Salary: Market related depending on experience
