JOB SUMMARY:
Our client requires an experienced sales representative to resell their wide range of pumps and accessories. The ideal candidate must be able to select pumps as well as offer technical advice to customers.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualification:

Grade 12 / equivalent

Experience and Requirements:

3 or more years retail sales experience in the pumps and accessories industry is essential and not negotiable
Able to select a pump for a customer
Knowledge of submersible, borehole, water and surface pumps
Knowledge and understanding of pump curves
Familiar with customers in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, chemical, mining, building, wastewater, effluent transfer and energy and related industries
In possession of a valid driver’s license
A stable work record and contactable references
Computer literate
Reside close to the East Rand
Reliable transport – car allowance to be provided

Responsibilities:

A proven track record reselling a wide range of retail pumps
Ensuring that budgeted sales and GP targets are met and achieved
Opening and following up on new accounts as well as building and maintaining relationships with Customers
Ensuring customer details are updated on the system
Assist debtor’s department with any account queries
Follow up on quotations and invoices as well as deliveries to Customers
Following up on leads and turning them into sales
Handling of customer complaints as well as repairs/returns
Regularly updating price comparisons
Regularly evaluate account customers buying experience and propose adjustments when necessary
Increase market share and awareness (market research and awareness)
Closing deals
Reaching and exceeding monthly sales targets
