The Role:

We are looking for SAP Basis Operations Consultant for a fixed term contract Position with our client based in Midrand and Pretoria.

 

Willing and able to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time (Internationally) with a Valid Driverâ??s License.

We are looking for SAP Basis Operations Consultant for a fixed term contract Position with our client based in Midrand and Pretoria.

 

Willing and able to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time (Internationally) with a Valid Driverâ??s License.

 

Minimum required work experience and skills:

• ITIL process knowledge and work experience
• 6 Yearsâ?? work experience in an operations environment
• 8 Years IT work experience
• SAP Basis
• ITIL certification

 

Minimum educational level:

• Degree in Information Systems
• TIL certification (advantageous)

 

We require the following Technical / Functional Skills:

• Professional experience in the administration of SUSE Linux Enterprise Systems, preferably in complex and productive environments
• Good knowledge of Linux operating system concepts, including file system, kernel memory, networking, high availability, and security concepts
• Good knowledge of scripting
• Deep ITSM knowledge
• Experience in Operations and structure teamâ??s Functional knowledge
• Understand Processes, deep process knowledge of processes
• ITIL process knowledge and work experience
• AGILE Project Management knowledge
• JAVA and SAP BW know how beneficial Quality Management Mentoring
• Understanding of IT Infrastructure and relations between components
• ITPM process knowledge and work experience (advantageous)

 

Duties and responsibilities:

• Action and resolve IM (Incident Management) tickets
• Action and resolve CIM (Critical Incident Management) tickets as required
• Raise and lead tasks PM (Problem Management) tickets as identified
• Action and coordinate CM (Change Management) tasks and tickets as required
• Assist user departments in drafting system requirement documentation based on business processes

• Perform daily system handover and start-up tasks to ensure operational readiness of systems
• Ensure that all processes have been investigated / considered in obtaining the specifications of the user requirements
• Propose and review system design and evaluate alternatives
• Develop systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements
