SAP Consultant - SAP ABAP Developer (GTS essential) (Project)

POSITION INFO:
The Role:

We are looking for an SAP Consultant - SAP ABAP Developer (GTS essential) for a 12-month fixed term contract Position with our client based in Centurion/Pretoria.

 

Willing and able to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time (Internationally) with a Valid Driverâ??s License.

 

Minimum educational level:

• Degree in IT or relevant experience
• ABAP Certification

 

We require a minimum 8 yearsâ?? work experience in:

• Strong ABAP development skills including but not limited to:
• ABAP 00 â?? methods / classes
• ALV programming
• Interface programming
• Experience in test driven development
• Smartforms
• User exits
• Database updates
• Function Modules
• Batch programming
• IDOCs
• Trouble shooting and debugging skills
• Dialogue programming
• Module Programming
• BAPI
• BADI
• BDC
• Smart forms
• Field Exists
• Enhancement Points
• Preparation of testing documents and perform internal testing
• Integration testing with other modules ex. MM, SD, Warranty and FI/CO
• Preparing the cut over strategy for MM, FI and SD objects
• Preparing User manuals and conducting training to business process owners
• Go-live preparation and post Go-live support
• Interaction with clients through meetings, calls and emails
• Code compliance
• SAP SOLMAN
• Jira / Confluence experience advantageous
• Prep of testing documents
• Build Management experience
• Handling Tickets and Tasks with the responsibility for closing the same within defined SLAâ??s (Service Level Agreements)
• Responsible for troubleshooting issues for the system and providing support
• Executing the analysis and resolution of Production Support calls
• Preparing test data for testing of CRâ??s (Change Requests)
• Testing CRâ??s (Change Requests) and preparing test results
• Carrying out regression testing
• Interact with consultants of other modules
• Web services (interfaces)
• XML

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• We are looking for an experienced SAP developer for the Finance / Tax Integration and Customs team to assist with our deliverables and build sustainable solutions for the Group
• You will be expected to communicate effectively
• Analyse existing solutions and challenges and make proposals in line with the Group security and master solution guidelines.
• You will be expected to ensure relevant development specs and other documents are in line with business guidelines
• You will be expected to work in an agile feature team and work closely with business associates and functional consultants
• There will be occasional weekend or overtime work and International travel is highly likely
