The Role:
We are looking for a SAP HCM Consultant for our client in Rustenburg in the North West Province. This would be a fixed Term Contract.
The SAP HCM consultant is responsible for the day-to-day support of the following HCM modules - PA, OM, PD Recruitment across the systems landscape. In addition, the role will provide functional and technical expertise to guide business on the best practices and correct application of systems across this environment.
Scope of Work:
Evaluate HCM Systems currently in the environment, including assisting clients with system requirements and software selection.- Engage in all life cycle stages of project execution; implement HCM modules or solutions; assist with system configuration, integration, training, rollout, support, maintenance, enhancement, and improvements as required to meet overall business objectives of business.
- Support consultant teams with configuring and deployment of HCM systems and relevant integration with other modules / systems.
- Responsible for functional and technical design, configuration, testing, implementation, and support of SAP Solution.
- Responsible for system support, systematic testing and evaluation of current configuration, creation of training material and training activities.
- Assist functional and technical colleagues with troubleshooting critical issues, as it relates to HCM.
- Apply functional and technical skill to configure HCM modules or liaise where necessary with vendor for support on implemented solutions.
- Serve as subject matter expert to provide guidance to business where in the relevant systems domain.
- Map and analyse end-to-end business processes within the environment across all HCM systems as well as integration, following formal IT guidelines.
- Facilitate management of change issues with the adoption of new information systems.
- Serve as a power user of collaborative technology, and champion new and innovative business solutions within established and emerging technical architectures.
- Assist the team with the creation of written validation procedures, plans and reports
- Prepare project related documentation (functional and technical design, test scripts) during the different stages of a project.
Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- A NQF level 6 or higher qualification in the Information Technology (IT) field essential.
- Minimum of 6 years SAP HCM implementation and production support experience required with a good understanding of SAP.
- Experience of HCM systems in a mining environment would be advantageous.
- Implementation experience including full life cycle ASAP methodology, business requirement collection, business process analysis, gap analysis, realisation, final preparation, training, go-live, support.
- Ability to investigate and embrace new technology and solutions across the HCM landscape.
- Candidate must be a team player and demonstrate good interpersonal-, communication-, problem solving- and project coordination skills.
- The successful candidate must have strong customer service attitude, ability to multi-task, high attention to detail proficiency level and ensure adherence to firm IT standards and change management procedures.
- High level of MS Office proficiency and willing and able to travel for up to 2 to 3 days at a time (international) when COVID restrictions allow for it.
