SUMMARY:
Seeking a mature Bookkeeper to handle full function Bookkeeping to balance sheet in the Durban area.

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting the finance team with day-to-day accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting
Manage payroll processing and statutory submissions
VAT Returns
Support auditors with documentation and queries
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations

Requirements:

Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or Pastel)
Strong MS Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping (advantageous)
