POSITION INFO:

Senior Bridge Engineer (POS24275)

Rosebank

R1,5m per annum

Purpose:

Design of bridges and associated transport related structural elements.

Requirements:

BSc (Civil Engineering), or BTech (Civil/Structural Engineering)
Pr Eng or Pr Tech (ECSA) registration
Registered Bridge Inspector will be an advantage
8 years plus experience in Bridge Design
Detailed knowledge of Finite Element Design Software such as Sofistik/Prokon/AutoCAD/Revit.
Preparation of Contract Documentation, specifications and schedules of quantities
Knowledge of SANRAL processes will be an advantage
Experience in bridge hydrology and hydraulics will be an advantage
Experience in design of feature bridges will be an advantage

Key Performance Areas:

Design of bridges and associated road structural elements.
Able to work unsupervised with efficient time management
Able to lead a design team and work under pressure
Manage the design process of projects.
Ensure that project budgets are adhered to.
Assist in preparation of proposals.
Technical Report writing.
Feasibility studies as required by Project Managers
Entrepreneurial with high business acumen
