POSITION INFO:
SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER/MAKHANDA (GRAHAMSTOWN) - To provide comprehensive HR administration and support services to the management and staff of SALB. Start Date: 1 September 2025 (or earlier)
Minimum Requirements:
Degree or National Diploma in HR Management or related field
Minimum 4 years’ experience as HR generalist; supervisory experience is advantageous
At least 3 years' payroll experience (preferably Sage 300, Sage Business Cloud Payroll, and Self-Service)
Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, SDA, EEA, OHSA)
Experience with SARS eFiling, WSP/ATR submissions, and Workman’s Compensation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate level)
Valid driver’s license (held for at least 2 years); willingness to travel
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full HR operations: recruitment, onboarding, leave, benefits, and payroll
Ensure compliance with SARS, SETA, and labour legislation
Oversee performance management, training, and wellness programmes
Manage labour relations and interact with organised labour
Provide strategic and administrative support to Senior Manager: HR & Development
Supervise junior HR staff and assist with audits and HR reporting

Remuneration: R618,937.68 CTC per annum
