POSITION INFO:
SENIOR MANAGER: HUMAN RESOURCES (HR)/MAKHANDA (GRAHAMSTOWN) – This is a 5-year contract position to commence on 1st June 2025 or earlier. The main responsibility of the Senior Manager: Human Resources is to render an effective and efficient Human Resource advisory and support function, on both a strategic and operational level, to the Director, Management and staff. CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: 16H00 on 17th March 2025
Minimum requirements;
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field (postgraduate qualification preferred).
At least 8 years of HR experience, with 5+ years in a senior HR management role.
HRM work experience gained within a public sector environment may be advantageous.
Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR best practices, and governance frameworks, particularly in the Public Entity/Public Sector environment.
Proven ability to lead HR transformation and change management.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in the workplace.
Having good working knowledge and experience of POPIA and PAIA will be a strong advantage.
Key responsibilities;
Strategic Human Resource Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting in line with the SALB Compact, Strategic Plan and Project Business Plans.
Recruitment, Selection and onboarding.
Employee termination management.
Benefit Management (Compensation and Payroll Management)
Personnel Records Management
Staff Wellness Management
Human Resource Reporting (Statutory reporting, monthly-, quarterly-, and annual reporting, ad-hoc reporting)
Employment Equity Management (Also serve as Employment Equity Manager for the Organization)
Policy Review and Development
Industrial and Labour Relations Management; Performance Management; Human Resource Compliance Management, specific to Labour legislation and guides and prescripts relevant to Public Entities; General HR Administration Management; Training and development Management and reporting

All-inclusive remuneration package: R896,304 per annum
