SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER – WATER TREATMENT

Requirements:

• BSc. (Chemical) / BEng. (Chemical)
• Knowledge in chemical plant and equipment design / fabrication / testing / installation / commissioning in chemical plant and equipment project engineering, controls and management.
• Minimum 7 years process engineering and management experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the water treatment field

Duties:

• Sizing and design of process equipment.
• Review and approve equipment installation, processing, cleaning and packaging validation protocols, new materials and microbiology lab procedures.
• Developed operating manuals, implement preventative maintenance schedules for various manufacturing equipment.
• Generation of process documentation such as Process Description, Control Philosophy, P&ID’s, Equipment Datasheets etc.
• Responsible for preparation and approval of project related documents and engineering notes in conjunction with the Engineering Department.
• Performed process simulations to verify facility water recovery rates, chemical and consumable rates, product quality etc.
• Suggested design changes/modification for optimization and flagged potential concern for operation of the facility.
• Perform inspections and witness factory/site acceptance testing where required.
• Ensure that equipment, plant and units’ manufacture, testing, installation, commissioning and hand-over to operations and/or client are complete in accordance with the approved project schedule, standards and within allocated budget/schedule.
• Lead commissioning effort during project execution phase.
• Perform inspections and witness factory/site acceptance testing where required.
• Conduct process/product failure investigation, data analysis, prepare reports and implement corrective actions.
• Employed extensive data analysis and experimental design techniques in ongoing process development.
• Develop specifications for procured instruments, controls and other process equipment for water treatment plants.
• Specifying process equipment.
• Review and approve project schedules with the Project Manager to see that all dates, rates of progress and engineering periods are realistic.
• Attend coordination meetings and project engineering review meetings with vendors of major equipment and plant as required.
